Cody Decker became the 19th TinCaps player from the 2009 Midwest League Championship team to make a major-league debut Monday. According to Sports-Reference.com president Sean Forman, no other Single-A team in minor-league history has produced more future major leaguers.

Down Syndrome Advocacy at Parkview Field

In the Hoosier state, The Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana (DSANI), estimates that since January there have been 14 births of babies with Down syndrome. Those statistics show the reality of the need for programs such as the Buddy Walk, which has been going on for 17 years and is the DSANI’s largest fundraiser. This year the event, which was held Saturday at Parkview Field, is expected to raise about $90,000 between its estimated 1,200 participants.
