Final mile of first Fort4Fitness race brings out hundreds at Parkview Field
The Kit’s Club and Silver Fox Club’s final mile of the Fort4Fitness happened Friday night. Kids from ages 4 to 14 and adults over age 50 wrapped up their summer programs with the final mile around Parkview Field. The race started outside the park and finished at home plate. Everyone who participated received a medal. The goal is to have everyone finish 26.2 miles total throughout the summer to keep them active. The kids were very excited to take part in the event.

Parkview Field Partnership Provides Coworking Space
An Atlanta-based software company is partnering with Parkview Field in Fort Wayne to provide its growing workforce with coworking and in-person collaboration space. Juvare, which provides emergency preparedness and response software, says its remote workers will benefit from the stadium’s indoor meeting space.

Parkview Field Has a Free, Hands-On Learning Experience for Kids
Parents, grab your little ones and head out to Parkview Field on Saturday for a free educational experience. ‘Explorer Day’ educates kids with hands-on practice for skills in reading, math, social studies and more. There are about 25 vendors set up on the field with activities, games and performances to engage kids and learn in a fun way.

Services Set for Fallen Fort Wayne Marine
The body of 27-year-old Capt. Matthew J. Tomkiewicz will arrive at the 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne on Saturday at 1 p.m., according to the One Warrior Foundation, which works with the Veteran community. A “Celebration of Matthew’s Life” will be held Sunday at Parkview Field, according to his obituary from D.O. McComb and Sons.

Parkview Field to Host 46 Different Schools for Games in April
Before the TinCaps begin their season on May 4, Parkview Field announced that it will host a record number of high school and college baseball games. From April 2-29, the downtown Fort Wayne ballpark will welcome 46 different schools for a total of 29 games.
